Creating ICA files in 4.5, in the Citrix XenApp

1. go to a webinterface client PC
2. remove the file association for ‘ica’ or uninstall ICA client
3. login to the webinterface
4. click on the application,  it will ask to save the ica file

Citrix: Change the Session Timeout for Web Interface 5.1

1. IIS Manager 
2. Application Pools – CitrixWebInterface5.1AppPool
3. CitrixWebInterface5.1AppPool - Properties
4. Performance tab, change the value for Shutdown worker processes after being idle for to a number that is greater than or equal to the session timeout in the Access Management Console of the Web Interface server

Citrix: The desktop you are trying to open is currently available only to administrators

To allow users to connect with an RDP connection, clear “non-administrators Only launch Published Applications” under the Citrix settings of the RDP-TCP listener.
